Glamorgan FHS Research and Lookup Services

Glamorgan FHS volunteers have transcribed a vast amount of Glamorgan resource material including: parish registers, chapel records, memorial inscriptions, school records as well as other types of useful resources for tracing your family history in Glamorgan.

Members can request Look Ups in our Society Records - these are carried out by volunteers. Longer pieces of research can also be undertaken, for members only.  Please quote your membership number when making a request for a 'look up' or research.

Research and Look Ups are a free service for members but a donation is always appreciated to cover administration costs. Cheques should be made available to Glamorgan FHS.

Three of our 'Master' Indexes are now available FREE to Members Only on this website:  Burials Index, Memorial Inscriptions Index, Municipal Burials Index.

Full copies of our transcriptions and indexes are available in booklet and on CD in our Resource Centre and to purchase on the Genfair website.

Adhoc Meets
Members in the Swansea or Neath areas who would like help with their research, or members elsewhere who are seeking help with research in the Swansea or Neath areas are invited to email swansea@glamfhs.org.uk with the subject line 'Local Research Help'. Someone from the branch should then reply and possibly arrange to meet at a convenient local library or similar location, or offer help remotely.
