Glamorgan FHS Research and Lookup Services
Glamorgan FHS volunteers have transcribed a vast amount of Glamorgan resource material including: parish registers, chapel records, memorial inscriptions, school records as well as other types of useful resources for tracing your family history in Glamorgan.
Volunteers are available to provide help and advice at a number of locations in Glamorgan and at our Resource Centre at Aberkenfig. Virtual advice can also be provided via Zoom. Contact arc2@glamfhs.org.uk to book a session with a volunteer or for an update on the location, date and time of the next help desk sessions.
Email Research and Look Ups are a free service for members but a donation is always appreciated to cover administration costs. Donations link on Contact Us Page. There is a charge to cover expenses/time with a volunteer at our Aberkenfig Resource Centre and also at Glamorgan Archives 'Ask the Experts' sessions.
Our 'Master' Indexes are now available FREE to Members Only on this website: Baptisms Index, Burials Index, Memorial Inscriptions Index, Municipal Burials Index.
Full copies of our transcriptions and indexes are available in booklet and on CD in our Resource Centre and to purchase on the Genfair website.
For more extended research in our records or at Glamorgan or West Glamorgan Archives it is advisable to use the services of a professional researcher. The National Library of Wales maintains a list of such researchers which can be accessed via the link below:
